Couturier001

Couturier is a free program written in C# using GTK libraries, so it’s for Gnome, which allows you to join PDF documents and images in a single file. It’s very easy to use, and you can create a PDF file from images only, or from sets of documents and images.

To use Couturier in Ubuntu you have to download and install this deb package: couturier_0.4.1-1_all.deb

When the installation is finished, you can find it in the applications menu under the voice “Office>Couturier PDF Merger”.

At the startup the program looks like this:

To insert a PDF document or an image click on the button on the left corner of the window with the plus symbol on it, or drag the file you want to concatenate on the bottom of the window program.

Once you have inserted files you can see theirs preview and a short description. Drag files if you want to change the order but remember that the document pages will be inserted with the same order of the files in the window of Couturier.

On the upside of the window, insert the PDF filename result of the join, set, if you want, a password to protect it, select the destination directory and click on “Combine” to create the document. At the end of the process, the new document will be opened with the default PDF reader.
